Here we have Kanye West and his apparent girlfriend Ford model Amber Rose exiting the movie theaters this past weekend. Both parties are dressed down, casually for a movie screening, Kanye (toe-to-head) in his Yeezy line, rugged pants with zipper pockets, drenched in layers of polyester-type and cotton material topped off with some low tinted shades. West is playing with some salmon colors that he fancies as well as some neutral colors, he’s not afraid to go there fashion-wise it seems. Amber is much less like her partner when it comes to eccentric colors; Rose is very neutral and comfortable going full low-key as her significant other. Though she has her leather plats that she’s akin to, some baggy cargo-type pants, shirt and fur hooded jacket – Kanye’s not going to get all the shine.

Though these two are different in styles they equally match and compliment  each other very well. Both are very low-key but still aware of their evident celebrity. I believe if anything this couple is definitely in the norm of seasonal wear, case in point. In the continual Winter months don’t be afraid of layers! If you’re low-key stick to hoodies and tinted shades, though if you want to be a little noticeable add some coloring there. I don’t think you really need much accessory pieces like scarves or anything, especially if you have a heavy coat with some snap collars to cover your neck area or a coat with a hoodie. But I would recommend extra accessories like gloves and the aforementioned if you are in more colder, Eastern climates next to oceans and lakes etc.

Kanye West for BAPE Spring 2010

This entry post is just for the young,  non-fashionisto male types who may want to be up on swagger and/or appeal or literally try something fitting these coming holidays. A very posh, clean-cut yet urban style I’ve noticed evolving swiftly is fitted-wear; it’s ironic because when I hung out with this girl, who is a friend of mine, at the mall she highly favorable of this look. I, myself, am tall and slim in stature; randomly dabbling in the though of serious working out at the gym my friend in that moment questioned me why and said she loved my “look” type. While I know that was her personal opinion it really got me to thinking, “Am I doing this for other people or am I doing this for myself?” And if it’s anything but the latter I shouldn’t even entertain it much, like I really thought I wanted to get into some intense bodybuilding and whatnot but I found that my clothes can compliment my body just as well.

I suggest to all men but specially skinny/tall young men to really dabble into fitted-wear, that is items that are appropriately your size (think non-baggy), it adds a consistent look and natural appeal if you will. You can even play with styles casually, formally and everything in between; or maybe even have some of your items custom/designer-made to really standout and reassure yourself. Personally, I’m into the basic with accent types like a nice hoodie/fitted cap, yt/blk t-shirt (high/low v-neck), some designer-fitted jeans with some hightop sneakers. Now, don’t you worry if you’re not into the whole b-boy look etc. In contrast, you can do a chic Bowler/Fedora hat, fitted vest over the undershirt, khaki long-pants and some dress shoes. You can even mix it up with designers and personal styles; you can do a nice button-up with/without vest, cargo shorts instead of khaki to keep that rugged swagger and some posh flats/sneaks. There are so many variants as to style and your personalize your choice I would b here all day for every individual person.

Remember to have fun and experiment with lots of colors, even if they’re not particularly trend-worthy you can always set the trend!

?!: To sag or not to sag: Sagging is the question, it’s all about personal preference but the ideal sag would be a little below the abdomen and just above the groin; typically in the forearm region standing up with your arms down. However if your tall and shapeless (not a bad thing!) your waist illusion might work in your favor.
